About Us
Praja Pragathi Seva Sangham (PPSS) is a registered non-profit organization based in Machilipatnam, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established on May 11, 1993, under the Society’s Registration Act XXI of 1860. PPSS is registered with the District Registrar Office in Machilipatnam and has FCRA registration. The organization is also exempted from tax under 12A and has a PAN number.
Mission
PPSS’s mission is to empower the poor and marginalized communities to achieve social and economic enhancement through participatory action.

Geographical Coverage
PPSS implements its activities in both rural and urban areas of Krishna District. In Vijayawada and Machilipatnam, the focus is on health and women-centric programs in slum areas. Rural areas of Challapalli, Avanigadda, Mopidevi, Koduru, and Nagayalanka mandals are covered for various programs related to health, sanitation, housing, education, livelihood, environment, and capacity building.
Target Groups
PPSS primarily works with poor and marginalized communities, including:
- Fisherfolk
- Agricultural farmers and farm laborers belonging to Dalits and Backward Communities
- Yenadi Tribal community
